5. UNSOCIAL MEDIA
Too pick up from here we left off… time & socials
“If the business starts to suffer, sacrifice the vlog” - Casey Neistat
Well that’s why I have been posting less, the business was suffering over 50% of my weekly time was being dedicated to the content piece… I was falling behind. One of our values is freedom, and my rule of having to post every single day did not align with that value, so I freed myself of it. Now I know not posting at all consistently is not the answer either so I am trying to find a more healthy balance with it.
All three of these three fall within each other but building the brand, I have realised I had set the daily posting target for the pre-launch phase. I want to get back there but to do so I will have to revaluate my methods.
Subconsciously I must have picked up the idea from Casey Neistat, good way to gain traction in pre-launch phase but when business has started its too much focus. It actually deters from business side.
I actually enjoyed doing it and the challenge of posting a successful video (controllables) but… that is not why I started this - its because I had an idea. Something I want to impact the world GLOBALLY. Not because I want to be an influencer… sure that would help promotion but it’s not my why.
And by the way, I don’t love golf enough to do that - I am more interested in posting about F1 than golf. And that probably comes across in my content. And the further compound this, I don't like social media. I wouldn't be on it if it wasn't for this.
